Lazy Sunday...

It’s Sunday, so we’re not extending ourselves too far. Well at least not for half a day. Relaxing in the shade of our camouflage netting, we are bringing our home base to life – Yes, we are finally online! – Trekking to nearby Gerlach – A settlement of about 350 residents – or the ideally located hot springs. And for those who wish to score some points with our kitchen team there’s a running workshop in vegetable cutting. After a decent brunch, the workforce returns to 37 feet above ground. Where just yesterday a bunch of wooden sticks were pointing into mere nothingness, today three bridging elements are interconnecting all pilons. The camp has been graced with a full on cyber cafe. ‘The Simpsons’ are on. We’re feeling completely at home. At night it seems for a moment as if we’re heading into some stormy weather. But all we get is a bit of strong breeze. Lucky for us, ‘cause when comparing to some of the other camps it seems we only had a few well protected “shelter worthy” areas at the time being. One of us has a birthday, and this gets celebrated with a decent glass of wine and… tiramisu! Beneath a sparkly blanket of stars, we bring in the night.
